Welcome to YDS Miami – The Yeshiva Shaping a Generation of Leadership.
Step into YDS, and you will experience a revolutionary approach to a mainstream immersive Mesivta program. YDS was founded with a clear mission: to fulfill the Rebbe’s vision for this generation – to create soldiers ready to conquer the world for Hashem, לתקן עולם במלכות שד-י. Our aspiration for our students is that after three transformative years, they emerge ready to lead a life of Yiddishkeit and influence the world – armed with tools, skills, and, most importantly, the confidence they possess as נשמות. We believe our responsibility carries on far after they have graduated from our yeshiva.
The Yeshiva’s Mission Statement is to empower and nurture the bright souls of its students, guiding them on a meaningful journey of connection to Hashem and Yiddishkeit.
With the help of Hashem, this past Elul witnessed the opening of YDS’s doors to its inaugural group of Bochurim. The Yeshiva is equipped with dedicated educators, fostering an environment where Bochurim learn Torah with joy and receive individual attention. Classes are tailored according to academic levels, ensuring every Bochur can learn and experience a genuine sense of accomplishment.
The Yeshiva’s focus on learning is on fundamentals in Jewish studies, such as rich knowledge in Chumash, Gemara reading and skills, practical day-to-day Halacha, and enriching general Jewish knowledge. We often have courses on various life skills that are outside of formal text learning and are instrumental in becoming an adult.
True to its name, Yeshivas Dor Shvi’i (YDS) places significant emphasis on Ahavas Yisroel and Mivtzoim, encouraging Bochurim to go out and inspire fellow Jews multiple times a week.
Your child will love participating in our big Bochur program where our Bochrim teach various topics to a local Chabad middle school. This experience provides our Bochrim with vital tools of being a Shliach and a Mashpia while giving their students the vision of what they will become when they are Bochrim one day.
In addition to the academic life and skills training, YDS recognizes the importance of creating a vibrant, close community. To enhance the sense of camaraderie among students and faculty, we often travel on Shabbatons to beautiful locations all over sunny Florida and one grand Shabbaton to the wintry West Coast. These Shabbatons are designed to offer a break from the routine and daily studies, allowing the Bochrim to relax and enjoy quality time with their peers and staff. Engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing communal meals, or participating in recreational activities. These experiences contribute to a sense of shared purpose in friendship.
We also find it most important to do an annual group trip to the Rebbe where our bochurim have the opportunity to strengthen their Hiskashrus, with a full schedule of learning and farbrengens.
A revolutionary step taken by YDS is the inclusion of a professional individual and family therapist on the staff. Conducting weekly one-on-one sessions with each Bochur and leading group presentations. Our full-time staff member therapist addresses the unique challenges faced by teenagers today, reflecting YDS’s commitment to holistic well-being and personal growth.
Situated in Miami, Florida, the yeshiva building goes beyond academics, including a full-scale gym, a basketball court, a pool table, ping pong, and other recreational activities, ensuring the bochrim’s physical and mental well-being.
We extend a warm welcome to students who choose to be in Yeshiva and have a strong willingness to succeed in their learning, improve their Middos, and cherish and desire to live in a pleasant environment with fellow students and staff and are committed to maintaining it.
Registration for the upcoming school year of 5785-2024/25 is still open, with limited space available.

So great to see this! A Yeshiva for bochurim first, with love and their needs. I wish such a Yeshiva like this existed when I was a bochur.
Much success!!
Looks like success
BH
So needed, this yeshiva is amazing!! The shluchim really care about each bochur. BH much sucess
I am blown away with this Yeshiva, as the boys are in a good environment with the proper guidance and actually enjoy the Yeshiva in a Healthy Way. Leibish Richardson who founded and funded this Yeshiva should be blessed with overflowing revealed Brochos. This is a Person that learns Chassidus and goes to the Mikvah EVERY SINGLE DAY BH.
Reb Leibish had a vision for today’s Bochurim (Dor Shvii) to have the excitement and Yiddishe/Chassidishe “feel-good” about themselves so they can be empowered to continue the Rebbes wish to bring Moshiach!
To see him not only found the Yeshiva but to stay on and give of himself in EVERY facet, is truly inspiring and something we should all learn from. May he and the Yeshiva with its current and growing student body, continue to go from strength to strength! Chazak!
this is really what chabad needs!
a chabad yeshiva that is main stream but understands the needs of the bochurim!
This yeshiva blows me away. I wish this yeshiva existed when I was younger. It looks like a yeshiva i’m going to send my kids to. With them nothing but success.
God bless you keep up the amazing work.
YDS emulates what a Yeshiva is meant to be. Others can learn from YDS. Put the bochurims needs and neshomas first and foremost.
Yasher Koach R’ Labish for persevering and making your dream of creating this beautiful yeshiva come to fruition.
Model for how all chassidish schools should teach – with compassion warmth and love! Wishing you continued success
