Bais Rivkah elementary school of Crown Heights held a “world’s fair,” with students using research skills to gain a basic knowledge of regions, governments, industry, landmarks and famous people as well as Jewish and Shlichus life in those areas.
“Our children learn much about cities, countries, and people in Tanach, history (Jewish, world, and American), and current events, but often have only the haziest conception of where these places can be found, thus limiting their understanding,” said organizers.
“Furthermore, if our daughters are to fulfill their role as Shluchos “spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus,” it is imperative that they have a well-grounded understanding of geography, history, economy, and Jewish life in various areas of the world.”
yours is so cool with the hourse race
Impressive poster on the Great Depression that began in 1929. Very clever to incorporate the Newspapers in the background, that symbolize the usage of “Hoover Blankets.”
