This Tuesday, hundreds of women will unite in 16 locations around Crown Heights to learn Inyanei Geula U’Moshiach.
“Where there’s unity, the shchina rests, and when the shchina rests, there will be Moshiach,” says Leah Engel, a young mother who started this initiative in the merit of a recovery for Menucha bas Malka, her friend’s baby who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. “It’s a simple equation.”
And this began Project CommUNITY: an initiative to gather neighboring women to unite and learn on a regular basis.
Here’s how it works:
Every section of crown heights has a block leader. Each month, the block leader will message her group with details for the upcoming gathering. Monthly gatherings will be held across Crown Heights in many convenient locations.
To join a group, look at the map and find the group closest to your house. Text the group contact “please add me to Project C broadcast list!” And you’ll will be notified before each gathering. (Please note! You will NOT be added to a WhatsApp group, rather a broadcast with only one sender!)
After hearing about this initiative, we received so many messages from people outside of Crown Heights who wanted to start Project C in their own communities. There will be locations opening in Montreal, Chicago, Boro Park, Florida, Los Vegas, Texas and Australia.
The goal is to involve our entire community. B”H our response has been amazing so far, but to reach our goal, we really need YOU!
Using the map below, text your block leader to join Project C!
The Rebbe wrote about the need for both types of Nshei programs, programs that cater to various different ages and stages, and programs that cater to the community at large. And Boruch Hashem, thanks to hard-working ppl in both arenas, there are programs that happen in our community that cater to various ages, stages and backgrounds, and then there are the Nshei Ubnos Chabad programs that take place on Chassidishe Yomim Tovim and these are meant for everyone.
Now we just need to get out there and take advantage of the amazing things that are available for us.
Comm-UNITY
Time to merge the two groups. With membership and voting privileges.
And programs for ALL women. Singles, married, formerly married, re-married. Women with no kids, with kids, with married kids, etc. Women who speak Yiddish, Hebrew, French, Portuguese, Farsi, Russian. Even English!
Senior Nshei and Junior Nshei — that is the antithesis of unity!
We are all so proud of you!
Your dear friends and admirers!
can you please post the new-classes promo video?
the community is going to the right direction
Between Jr nshei and nshei
At what point do you graduate into nshei
Is it age – becoming a bubby – or age of oldest kid
Or a combination or a few factors
I can see a 45 year old single woman being uncomfortable with Jr nshei
And a 45 year old married woman with 2 year old twins being uncomfortable with nshei
And to all of you.
It should be behatzlacha
