300 Chabad women gathered last weekend at the Doubletree Hilton in Somerset, NJ, for a most inspiring and spiritual Shabbos.
The 52nd Nshei Chabad Convention, hosted by the Morristown, NJ community, was coordinated by Mrs. Teibke Spalter and Mrs. Sarah Hein, along with Mrs. Rivie Feldman, who has been coordinating the annual women’s weekend events for 27 years.
The three-day event combined learning, inspiration and camaraderie amongst participants from all walks of life, hailing from across the United States and Canada.
Gourmet meals were provided by Levi Feigenson of Table 1 catering.
During the weekend, fascinating workshops were held on topics such as Sholom Bayis, women’s health, Shidduchim, raising Chassidishe children, and healthy communication.
Guest speakers included Mrs. Rosie Weinstein, Mrs. Bracha Meshchaninov, Rabbi YY Jacobson, Mrs. Sarah Esther Crispe and Mrs. Miriam Krinsky.
On Motzei Shabbos, following a boutique fair, a Melava Malka with music by Chana Nunez ended with spirited dancing.
The convention culminated on Sunday with a grand banquet, with a concert by Rivka Leah Cylich and Chaya Sara Weiss, and words of inspiration by Shliach Rabbi Moshe Herson, Dean of the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ and Sarah Esther Crispe.
“What was so amazing was the spirit of friendship that was felt throughout the entire weekend,” said one participant. “We all felt so rejuvenated after spending three days relaxing, being inspired, and catching up with old friends and making new ones.”
