Jewish women in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights said they received invasive phone calls from an anonymous person recently.
The caller has contacted young women from a wireless number or from a blocked number, COLlive.com was told.
Women who received the call said the caller asked invasive and personal questions and went on to discuss intimate matters.
A woman wrote to us: “There is some creep calling up the women of Crown Heights and pretending to be a woman.”
Another woman agreed.
“It sounded like a female but it could have been a voice disguised,” the second woman who received the call reported.
According to reports, the caller asks about kallah classes and says “Chaya Goldstein from Flatbush gave me your number.”
Another report said the caller said “Chana Goldstein.”
The caller also goes on to speak about undergarments and says that his/her mother has a special line for “frum ladies and are you interested?”
Deputy Inspector Peter Simonetti, commanding officer of the 71st Precinct, told COLlive.com Wednesday:
“We have one report on file and the matter is subject to an ongoing investigation. Anyone who have been a victim to this should come by and file a report.”

i got the same phone call very recently and i was so spooked out. my natural instinct was to hang up and i did. i asked the caller “who told you to call me?’ and she said -chana goldstien. i am definately going to report my incident to the 71 precinct. i hope they catch this creep!

I live in Florida and got a call from a woman from flatbush asking me(a man) if I’m a kallah teacher?! The weirdest phone call I ever got. Apparently I’m not the only one.
It may be easy to say that when you read a story like this online, when it actually happens to you, it is not as simple.
That happened to me too, i felt bad for the creep, tried to help and she made me so uncomfortable and kept calling back. I guess I am just naive, but I’ve learned not to be as trusting in the future. I suggested she call several people who are in the “field”, but she didn’t want to hear of it.

hello people- there are sick people out there who have nothing to do with themselves. its no big deal, if you dont let them bother you- the won’t. i mean come on!
I tried to help..Suggested she call Bronya shaffer! we had numerous conversations! and this happened at least a year or two ago! She just called me this week! Her voice was a flashback to the past-so I just hung up! What a sicko!
it will automatically call back whomever just called you even if they blocked the caller ID to call you-call and see if someone picks up or if there is some type of answering machine
its not just one guy calling everyone its a few of them

I experienced thislast year this time and didn’t do much about it.. some others that I know got the same call… hopefully they can find this sick person and do something about it!
He/She called me as well, the call was to my home number. Obviously it is not exclusive to cell numbers. I just hung up on the nut!!!!!!

Its just bored and sick in the head pple that have nothing to do. I also do not live in n.y. and got a wierd call asking me private questions about me and my family….I just hung up on him!
