What do you do when your school has grown, and there are new parents who haven’t yet met the school community?
You make a beautiful event for women and girls to eat, enjoy, and bond!
On Sunday evening, Cheder Chabad of Philadelphia did just that. Teachers, mothers, staff and girls all came out to enjoy the Second Annual Women and Girls’ Evening of Unity. Students arrived excited to enjoy a party together, and the women enjoyed a chance to relax and enjoy getting to know each other better!
Before the guests entered the banquette room with elegantly set tables and centerpieces, they took a moment to write down a few thoughts and positive experiences they have had at Cheder Chabad of Philadelphia. These writings were later creatively decorated by the kinderlach at an arts and craft station which kept them busy while their mothers socialized. Their words and designs were so beautifully crafted that they will soon be on display on the school’s walls!
Everyone enjoyed a tasty meal and heard inspiring speeches from Cheder’s beloved principal Rabbi Mendy Levin (who, as one four year old noticed “is the only boy here and maybe should leave…”), forth grader Dassie Goldschmidt (who’s enthusiasm was palpable), and Cheder parent Mrs. Mussia Goldstein (who raved about Cheder’s individual attention to each child). The fifth grade girls read the Rebbe’s kapittel.
Before dessert, everyone played a fast paced game of Kahoot, answering tailor made questions about their very own Cheder! Smiles, and laughter abounded as each team raced to enter their answers first.
As many women and girls lingered well after the party officially ended, laughing and socializing, we could see that our mission was accomplished: it truly was an evening of unity!
Such a beautiful night of unity, bonding, and fun!
Best school ever i love my school!
go go go!

Thank you to a wonderful Cheder!
