In honor of the 31st conclusion of learning the Rambam‘s Mishne Torah, a fascinating class explains the mystery why it was chosen by the Rebbe to be learned daily by Jews around the world.
Rabbi Levi Garelik, a posek and lecturer in Brooklyn and Brussels, asks in this class “If the idea is to learn halachos every day, why not learn Shulchan Aruch which is more practical?”
He goes on to discuss why does everyone have to learn the whole Rambam and what is the difference if you learn three chapters a day or one chapter.
