i grew up going to o.t. and did not have a good experience…i must say i recently had a child that went through the younger grades and had a great experience i was very impressed with what i saw from rebbeim with a real feel for chinuch to people on the higher ups really caring and making a difference…so

YASHER KOACH TO THEM AND PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK..OUR KIDS ARE GROWING FROM IT..

There is a good side to the abuse that goes on in the schools. I WAS one of those children that was abused in the school system. I am now a teachers for 20+ years and I know exactly what NOT to do.

You make some good points, even though I believe learning in Yiddish is not the worst crime they perpetrate against our children. I’ll be even more impressed when our Yeshivas & schools stop treating children whom they think as useless as just that…useless. It’s about time they realized that parents and schools TOGETHER can make a difference to a child. The level of cruelty & humiliation in our institutions is appalling. I dont even know why the ch schools even work so hard to do this when parents ask things and they dont want to hear or care about anything parents say. And children in the schools from one Rebbe I know personally has been verbaly abusing kids??? And were r the pricipalssss quiet so go learn what u want to learn but if u cant stick up for our Chabad children in ch then forget ur fancy meeting???

I’ll be impressed when I see real, fundamental change in our schools in CH. Such as – serious curriculum development; targeted, professional, remedial help; a research based, modern approach to behavioral and discipline issues, – unlike the current knee jerk approach currently in place; a re-thinking of the inefficient, time wasting obsession of using Yiddish (a foreign language) as an education and communication tool; a new approach to physical education – one that understands its benefits to the whole student – the holistic approach toward education; the introduction of modern, exciting multimedia devices to drive and enhance the learning process… Read more »
