A prominent Litvishe rabbi who was mekareved by Chabad many years ago said that mussar is a direct approach to serving Hashem (do this and don’t do that) while Chassidis is the indirect approach (love and fear Hashem and that will bring you to act properly. As a litvish individual who also appreciates chassidus and enjoys learning about other jews, I feel the above comment is very important. The Torah has shiv’im panim and we believe eilu v’eilu divrei elokim chaim. Yes I know you believe that moshiach will not come until your maayanos spread forth, but that does not give you a license or a chutzpah to discredit other drachim or other parts of the Torah hakdoishah! The Rebbe himself showed great respect for talmidei chachomim from other sects of Yiddishkeit. From a group that promotes ahavas yisrael, I’d love to see more.

Ok . . . Rov Chaim Vital says that one should wear Shimusha Raba Tefillin to access the Mochin of Arich Anpin. That is a raya. So in a safek issur bechina Ari are you l’chumra or l’kula? (Sha’ar Tefillin 10) Also, all pi sod the Chalak meat is the ‘higher’ madreigah! Why are you using Rema shechita? Safek issur rabban l’kula or chumra? And is yibum d’oraitha? Have you studied Rashash Kavannot? They are based on Sha’ar Kavannot and are ‘applied’ concepts. Like additional algorithmic iterations of the Miluim of Divine Shemot Stop ‘judging.’ You have not reverse engineered Admur HaZaken S”A. Lazy! Too much Golden spoon. I have never been to Yeshivah. Self-taught. Teshuvah is powerful! Maybe you should be more humble. Most Chassidim have an 8th grade secular education and arts barely employable. Didn’t Rambam and Ramban have careers?
