Where Are They All Going

Organizers of the World Wide Hakhel Gathering are gearing up for a spectacular event this Sunday. Gatherings of men, women and children are scheduled for live interaction in Chicago, St. Paulo, Paris, New York, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Kfar Chabad, South Africa and Toronto with tens of other communities (see list – still in formation – below).

Communities around the world are gathering together for a local Hakhel, joining the live hour-long program and with each passing day numerous requests are submitted from a growing list of anash communities who would like to host a local gathering and watch the event.

Children will be a highlight of the program with a choir from Kfar Chabad and Pesukim recited live from numerous locations. Additional child friendly programing is being planned, which adults will enjoy as well.

As the energy builds, the feedback from the host cities is overwhelming. The opportunity to unite with Chassidim from around the world is driving up attendance in great numbers. In heeding the Rebbe’s call, this is a superb example of utilizing technology, communications, internet and the Mitzvah of Hakhel!
