When the Rebbe Pushes Us to Go Beyond Our Limits

Op Ed by Rabbi Gershon Avtzon: "My shlichus is Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Cincinnati...I thought that I reached “cruising altitude”, until I received - through the Igros Kodesh - a shocking answer to a question that I wrote in connection to the Yeshiva." Full Story

i think this touches at the very core of what it means to be a chassid.
we see how the rebbe constantly demands of us to go out of our comfort zone.
we may sometimes think: okay, what does the rebbe expect of me?
am i not doing enough?

but the rebbe sees our true pottential,
and if we may think of ourselves as small,
the rebbe doesnt.
he sees us with our infinite potential, and wants us to come to be who we truly can.

The Ikar is we have to want to

When the Rebbe left it up to us to do all that we can because He did all that he could, 30 years later and still nothing . We have to want to make it happen. The Brachos are here but if there is no keli from His chassidim-the potential is lost.
BH for the yeshiva people wanted to make it happen.
But for many it’s not always the case.
The Rebbes Brachos are here but people are not in unity to want to make it happen.

Wow
