Recently Kollel Anash of Crown Heights had the honor of hosting a shiur by Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Raskin of London, England on the halachos associated with traveling and taking trips. Rabbi Raskin serves as Rov and Dayan of Lubavitch in London. He is also the author of numerous halachah seforim.
The shiur covered many common shaalos that arise on this topic. At what point should one say Tefillas Haderech? Does one need to stand while reciting it? How does one calculate Techum Shabbos? Can one board a plane in which later during the flight it will become Shabbos in the place of his departure? How should one wash Netilas Yadayim without running water? How should one use a Shabbos key?
For the past ten years, Kollel Anash has been dedicated to assisting young married men master the laws of Taharas Hamishpachah and Shabbos. The halachos are studied in depth; from the sources in Gemara and Rishonim all the way down to halacha lemaaseh. The Kollel has recently added a unique three-year track for studying the halachos of Choshen Mishpat.

If you were away on vacation and the day you are supposed to return you said your daily Tfilas Haderech, Bli Shem , after Shacharis. Later on thatday, in the afternoon you travel back, do you need to say Tfilas Haderech again with the Shem, or not say the morning you are returning?
Even if you said it after davenning – without Hashem s name – you should say it in full once you’re en route for your return journey.
