Thank you for articulating what was felt. I too can use the sight of the washing machine from Ezra’s noshim. Really miss those days😢

Nice to “romanticize” the pushing, shoving, smashed hats, ripped kapottas or jackets, and the occasional punches. And we would do it again in a heartbeat.

i will never forget what it was like watching and hearing the rebbe blow shofar
What was not mentioned was how quiet it was for the tekiyos even with that crowd. How you could actually hear the brochos being said. Now in 770 i didnt even know when shofar was blown because of the non stop talking all thru davening and kriyas hatorah. Was a totally different world to spend tishrei with the rebbe then
