In what has now become a staple in so many people’s lives, MyLife: Chassidus Applied addresses questions that many people are afraid to ask and others are afraid to answer. When asked about the sensitive topics he has been addressing, Rabbi Simon Jacobson commented, “I understand that the stakes are high and great care has to be taken when speaking openly, but the silence and lack of clarity on matters plaguing the community can no longer go unaddressed. The stakes of not providing answers are even higher.”
The on-going series has provoked a significant reaction from the community, with thousands of people viewing each live broadcast and hundreds of questions pouring in week after week. At the root of every question and personal challenge tackled by the series is the overarching question: Does Judaism have the answers to my personal dilemmas?
In inimitable “Jacobson-fashion”, the broadcast answers people’s questions in simple, clear language while being heavily sourced. Each episode is jam-packed with eye-opening advice from the Rebbeim, gleaned from uncovering surprising gems in their letters, sichos and maamorim that address our personal issues with disarming relevance. Simultaneously, Rabbi Jacobson is able to crystallize a concept quickly, succinctly, and poignantly for any level of listener.
All episodes are immediately available for viewing in the MLC’s archive and can be downloaded as MP3s for listening on the go.

Every chabad chosid is a meshichist .every yid is a meshichist .every Yid must believe in Moshiach. The question is if waving a yellow flag brings people closer to the idea and make his coming. And if there is halacha to belive a certain person is Moshiach and if everyone must believe it is him or if u need to believe he is from bais dovid and will come today. What is halacha and what is hergesh. Also i think Israeli society might be more acceptable to yellow flags them american hence r dunin . the idea of elter chosid… Read more »
Kudos to Numbers One and Eight, very well said.
Number 6, would R’ Reuven Dunin A”H qualify as an Elter Chossid in your book? I think in the books of many Chassidim he would. A chossid who had an open invitiation to The Rebbe’s room anytime and who The Rebbe treated like a son. Who was mekarev thousands if not tens of thousands of Chassidim to The Rebbe MH”M. He wore a Moshiach flag. Google his name in Hebrew ראובן דונין you’ll see pictures of his with a Moshiach pin on his hat. He was good friends with Reb Mendel A”H Futerfas. Reb Mendel also strongly emphasized The belief… Read more »
And with all due respect, do we really know if R. Futerfas would wave a yellow flag? There is no contradiction between being a P’nimi, and being a proud Mishichist! We are not talking about anyone who may be out of line.
Question . would r mendel Futerfas wave a yellow flag to show he belives the Rebbe is Moshiach ? Our age needs elter chassidim and back to basic chabad mont penemious. Its not even about whether saying yechi or flags r right its unfortunately our age is more like …..” , forget about penmious ….let’s just argue about it ….and make more public displays ….that is Chassidus …” RL .
I feel his answer about wearing the flag was proper and positive. Re. advertising the Rebbe is Moshiach we must be VERY careful to do it in the way the Rebbe wants; namely that accepts EVERYONE and has no hint of unwillingness to hear other opinions (a.k.a.fanaticism)
great we still have some sane mashpyim around
B”H Dear Rabbi, With regards the comments on the Moshiach Flag: In the intro you began with an impartial approach, but you ended up siding with a view against the flag. There were other issues as well with your comments: was it accurate to say that we have never seen things like this from The Rebbe MH”M? How about the Tzivos Hashem logo? Are we to say that only logos The Rebbe himself created are allowed? Now, even if a Chossid would create the Tzivos Hashem logo in his own initiative, would that merely give it a “reshus at best”… Read more »
I will give this a listen but I hope Jacobson is not just trying to “elevate” what is otherwise an embarrassing display of silliness.
i am in awe of the amount of knowledge, recollection, omkos, and clarity!!! and the amnt of work that goes into this week after week, and the patience…kol hakavod!
