Vegetables come into shmita on rosh hashana. However fruits are not kedushat shviis on rosh hashana this coming year. The fruits on the trees right after this rosh hashana started becoming fruit before rosh hashana so are called 6th year fruit. The fruit that starts developing from a bud this year after rosh hashana is ready for harvesting much later in the year and goes into the 8th year and that fruit has kedushat shviis. There is much more involved here. Vegetables and plants have different dates than fruit regarding kedushat shviis. Vegs and plants go into shmita on rosh hashana. Fruits are different as the key is when the bud starts becoming a fruit. So fruit on the trees after rosh hashana from a fruit that started forming before rosh hashana is considered 6 year fruit and not kedushat shviis. Please post correctly! Fruits dont become kedushat shviis right after this rosh hashona as they are considered to be 6th year produce. Only fruit that developed from a bud during the 7th year is considered kedushat shviis and these fruit can still be kedushat shevvis in the 8th year if still growing then. Each fruit has its own date and for instance grapes and figs in the beginning of 8th year are kedushat shviis.
Please explain correctly about fruit as its a different law than vegs which are an issue from rosh hashana

Thank you - BUT!!!

This is very general. Much more info is needed to properly observe the mitzvah of shmittah.
Even when the Rabbi refers to kedushas shviis, he should explain in detail about the issue of disposing of the leftovers. With regards to wine, there is also a deadline as to if the wine can be used after the next Pesach, and if it was declared hefker or not.
