Dear Crown Heights community members and Shluchim,
As the Bais Rivkah board gears up to launch their Charidy campaign on January 3-4, 2018, I can’t help but think about how much the students continuously give to our community and shluchim.
I have the privilege to witness firsthand what they are doing for their community and how they help the local (and not so local) shluchim.
These girls happily volunteer for Friendship circle, giving special attention to special-needs children and their families. They give up their Shabbos afternoons to run Mesibas Shabbos programs for our younger girls. These volunteers are available to help mothers who have no relatives to help them or just need another pair of hands. These special volunteers are seen many times going out of their comfort zone to help a stranger. They help families of Chai Lifeline, Bikur Cholim and Shifra U’Puah.
When a shliach needs help to run their Rosh Hashana/Yom Kippur programs, Bais Rivkah girls are ready. A shlucha needs help with their challah bake, Chanuka programs or year-round events, Bais Rivkah volunteers are thrilled to go and give more than a hand.
As an alumn of Bais Rivkah, I can only reminisce about the time I was a student, we used to get up when it was still dark to make an early morning bus to Kings Brook Hospital to feed the patients. (So that we can still make it in time to class). And we tutored children whose parents couldn’t learn with them for various reasons (religious or academic). We had inner circle, what today has expanded and become the HOO (Helping Our Own) program.
These girls are teenagers. There are lots of other ways they can spend their free time. But they choose to be volunteers. They choose to give to you!
All this is made possible by the devoted staff of Bais Rivkah who encourage the girls to give of themselves to help others. To encourage the girls to create a community of people who are there for each other. To demonstrate what is really important!
We are now holding 30 days before Yud Shvat. We know how the volunteers from Bais Rivkah prepare for this day. How will you prepare for it? This is your opportunity to give back to the Rebbe’s school. A school the Frierdiker Rebbe started. A school that is helping to create a community. A school that supports the work of the shluchim! A school I am proud to send my girls to. A school that inspires me to give back in my own classroom!
The campaign is going live at 12PM on Wednesday for 34 hours, come to 310 Crown Street to join the call center! Make a donation! And share the word with friends!

I feel very lucky to have my children in bais rivkah. I was a student in baisrivkah, my children are students in bais rivkah my married daughter teaches in bais rivkah feel really lucky with all the nachos we get. Please help bais rivkah in every way.
A great school with an outstanding staff and administration, and a passionately committed Board. They should all be matzliach through a successful Campaign, iyH
Liba I could not agree with you more. To see the positive strides that Bais Rivkah has taken over the last two years is to appreciate a staff that works tirelessly, and a board that (among the many things they do) makes sure that the staff is compensated. To see the new Principals in action and to see how they work to build the students self esteem is to understand that the Rebbe is getting so much nachas from his mosad. To anyone who reads this comment I say, ,lets band together, and help Bais Rivkah achieve its goals… The… Read more »
