What do Mr. Tevi Troy, a senior White House aide in the George W. Bush administration and famed author, and Lipa Shmeltzer, a famed Chasidic singer, have in common?
In the fall of 1992, young Mr. Tevi Troy moved from a strong Jewish community in the New York area, to Austin, Texas. He was uncertain of what he would find there in terms of Jewish presence. Rabbi Yosef and Rochel Levertov welcomed him to their home where he found spiritual fulfillment and life long friends.
More recently, Lipa Schmeltzer visited Austin and was in need of kosher food for shabbos. Chabad of Austin was at his door with everything he needed.
Whether it’s a visitor in town for a conference that needs kosher food, a senior in need of assistance, or providing a family with Jewish education, Chabad of Austin is there for them. Today they are running a matching campaign to purchase a property to house all of their programs and activities. Become a founder of the new center of Judaism in Austin, and claim the merit of many more inspirations.

I really feel this Chabad house is something special, so many of my business associates have stopped in Austin for a conference or the like and kosher food was never an issue.
