Pop on in on a night flight and the rest is a breeze

I once had a siblings wedding in Florida me having a big family I decided to look for the cheapest ticket I booked a spirt ticket for the family we came early to the airport to check our bags in the lady behind the desk was rude (not mentioning her race) we got to the gate and the flight is delayed for 45 minutes for technical reasons then we board the plane we wait on the runway for a hour with no a/c then they say everyone has to deplane they keep on pushing off the flight since it’s the… Read more »
They max out the amount of hours they are allowed to delay a flight without having to pay or book another plane
I’m sorry about your bad experience, but the same thing happens with all airlines, I’m lucky that all my spirit experiences were good.
I take night flight and take sleeping pill as fight takes off. I wake up feeling rested with little need to adjust to different times.
Better to pre-adjust to time zone change than to take medication which can interfere with alertness in an emergency.
What about USA to Israel
Also bring my own food. Can’t always trust airplane kashrus…

when I wake up just before sunlight to daven and call minyan and wake up every one else, I hand out eggs to appease the rows in front and behind.

I think its cheap becuz they dont allow any luggage…. Pile on urself 5 days of clothes worth….
especially from descending (air pressure), then earplanes (ear plugs) could be very helpful. It probably would also help for the air pressure with colds. It’s best to buy in advance bec, at the airport they’re quite expensive.
Another easy hack is to use noise cancelling AirPods. They do wonders in blocking out the engine pressure noise.
But earplanes specifically is made for equalizing ear pressure and taking away the pain.
Don’t book travel for arrival on same day as an important event. Even if a flight is on time it is better to arrive anywhere, for business or a personal event, if you are rested and well fed than frazzeled, tired and hungry – particularly if you have children.
Oy, another article about tips.
1. Arrive to the airport early. It’s a lot less stressful.
2. Bring food and snacks. I’ve been on many trips where there was no kosher food and / or unexpected delays.
3. When travelling with kids – be calm. The kids pick up on your mood and act accordingly.
