On Sunday a farbrengen was held to welcome the temimim who arrived in Crown Heights for the High Holidays.
The Rebbe’s Chozer, Rabbi Yoel Kahan, opened with the Rebbe’s maamer, and he was followed by member of Badatz, Rabbi Shlomo Segal, with words of Hisorerus.
The main speaker was the renowned Rabbi Yosof Yitzchok Jacobson, who spoke warmly about a bochur’s time in yeshiva, and strengthening one’s hiskashrus to the Rebbe after Gimmel Tamuz.
You obviously havnt learned what qualifies one as a rov. this is not politics, you dont become a rov by acting one or talking like one. See rambam hilchos talmud torah. this is an absolute travesty to bring such a divisive figure and to give him a title he does not deserve. We are a community that follows halocho and promoting him is against Halocho. This must be said even on Ereve Rosh Hashono.

Rabbi segal is a amazing person that has love and kindness to all residents in the Shchuna and that on a busy night like erev Rosh Hashona he found time in his schedule to welcome some Orchim to the shchuna! Its a pity that they had to mess up such a nice event with politics. They should have never invited Shlomo Segal, by introducing him as a member of the Beis Din of Crown Heights, when he is not a member, polticizes the event and causes a stain that will be hard to remove.
