I’m sure many airlines will not implement this.
It’s crazy and rude and ridiculous.
What about their policies and attitudes in the last few years have led you to believe that airlines are not crazy, rude and ridiculous?
I fully get why airlines would do this.
Besides, who wants to sit between two huge individuals?
This has nothing to do with charging more, this is so they accurately estimate the takeoff weight. And yes the population has become more overweight, so the numbers have to be reevaluated. Purely a safety reason, not everything has to be clickbait!
I have never ever seen fat Korean Asian people that’s not in their genes.

If they can bring on some extra weight, maybe they’ll compensate and allow my extra 2lbs to go through without charging $100. Or maybe they’ll even let me bring on an extra suitcase. Who knows?!
Obviously that wouldn’t happen but it would be really nice!!!
It’s not fair to have someone else’s bulk invading your paid seat. They should pay more than price of another seat as penalty for not buying two adjacent seats ahead of time. Even if there were none available. Flag seat they’re in so the next person can get a discount for choosing the adjoining seat and use oversize surcharge to pay for it.
With the western culture embracing body positivity specifically in the overweight community, this has no chance of happening here.
Time for me to go on that Diet I was always meaning to start.
We should all get a total weight we can bring on flights, including ourselves. Those of us who are slim will get to bring more luggage weight
