While it is commonly believed that it takes a village to raise a child, this is even more true with regard to children who are special.
To assure a proper Jewish education is an arduous task for many, and the options become ever so slim when searching for a school who can cater to the unique needs of a child with special needs.
The cost of tuition at these institutions is significant, given their extremely high costs to operate.
Oftentimes, the teacher to student ratio can be 2 to 1, bringing the costs of entry above $100,000!
The regrettable reality is, parents are forced to make the difficult decision between absorbing the extreme financial burden, which most times is literally impossible, or having their children enrolled in the public school system.
Soul 2 Soul is committed to helping parents make these decisions, raising funds to distribute among the many families of our Crown Heights community who are tasked with the holy responsibility of raising the most special of neshamas among us.
The philosophy is simple:
ANY family who fits the simple criteria of having a special child who would otherwise be entered into the public school system, is welcome to apply.
The total dollar amount raised is evenly distributed across the amount of families who applied, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the schools.
