Message from Jewish Future Alliance:
We received this information from NYC today regarding the construction scheduled on President St. and Kingston Ave.
A year-long street construction project is scheduled for Kingston Avenue from President Street to Eastern Parkway. The actual construction is postponed until May, 2024.
There will be test water shutdowns this week.
The maximum water shutdown is from 9 am to 1 pm. Those who live in the area of the first shutdown have already received their 48-hour notice.
See the schedule below
Here is the schedule provided by the contractor for the test water shutdowns this week. Residents can expect to receive notices 72 hours and 24 hours before they experience water service interruption.
Wednesday, March 13, 2024: Group 1:
President Street between Kingston Avenue and Troy Avenue (only buildings on the south side of the President Street)
Albany Avenue between Eastern Pkwy and President Street (both sides)
Thursday, March 14, 2024: Group 2:
President Street between Kingston Avenue and Albany Avenue (only buildings on the north side of the President Street)
Friday, March 15, 2024: Group 3:
Kingston Avenue between President Street and Union Street (both sides)
Monday, March 18, 2024: Group 4:
Albany Avenue between President Street and Crown Street (both sides)

What are they ‘constructing’? And let’s test the water after the shutdown.
BTW: No one understands when you write “north side” or “south side”!!
People dont walk around with compasses.
This is totaly not clear for regualr people….
The North side is up and the South side is down.
EAST = Utica Avenue / Jerusalem
NORTH = Oholei Torah side of Eastern Parkway
SOUTH = Empire Blvd.
south is towards the side facing east flatbush or empire blvd and north is towards the side facing towards eastern parkway
I suspect they are replacing the old water pipes
