A new video shared on social media showing five men dancing in a room with white walls was for an upcoming music album by the Niggun Society.
The album is the Society’s first major project and will feature nine tracks of the Seder Niggunim done at the end of Yom Tov.
This Simchas Torah Hakafos Niggun is a melody attributed to Reb Levik – the Rebbe’s Father and some say it was sung by the Alter Rebbe as well.
“The goal was to capture that pinnacle of joy that’s present on Simchas Torah,” said Shlomie Rabin, founder of the Niggun Society.
Recorded in the natural reverb chamber at Palmyra Studios, the music track was played over the headphones while everyone present joined in the festivity. Jake Hamlin who is a close friend of Chanan Rose the producer of the project said “the joy was palpable” and was grateful to have been at the studio during the moment.
“It’s simply revolutionary,” said Chanan Rose, who is responsible for marrying the balance of music and melody. “This is part of a larger project of an album that is being recorded with high fidelity music that is well rounded, not simply a solo instrument such as piano solo or violin solo.”
The release of the album is slated for Thursday, Tu B’av – Av 15 – August 19. All nine tracks are available for dedication by sponsors. Find out more at Niggunsociety.com/Donate. Follow them on Facebook.com/niggunsociety
