Chasidim who traveled to Alma Ata, Kazakhstan, to mark the yartzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok, the Rebbe’s father, visited his gravesite upon arrival.
The group of Chassidim who traveled from the US and Russia davened Maariv and then sang emotional niggunim.
They then headed to the Chabad Center, where they were greeted by a lavish meal prepared for them by the Shluchim.
After extensive pressure on government officials, along with international ties with US and European governments, only 250 Chabad Chassidim were granted permission to enter Kazakhstan due to restrictions in place due to the current pandemic.
During the 24 hours of the Hillula of Chof Menachem Av, the guests will be allowed to enter Alma Ata, accompanied by the police, for immersion in a Mikveh, prayer, and entering the Holy Tzion of Reb Levi Yitzchak.
The 48 hours of this special journey are accompanied by the Fleishman-Peles Production teams, who are taking care of the flight arrangements, escorts, and accommodations at Alma Ata.

Thank you Zalman Fellig for your amazing contribution.
