Yud Aleph Nissan rings with a joyous, uplifting and happy tune, as Chassidim around the world mark the day of the Rebbe’s birth with gratitude to HaShem for the gift that He gave us on this day.
Over the decades of the Rebbe’s leadership, Yud Aleph Nissan developed into a day of great public celebration in the holy presence of the Rebbe at the Farbrengens. We often witnessed the Rebbe’s acknowledgment and thanks for the many declarations of appreciation that were conveyed to the Rebbe by Chassidim, Shluchim, public officials, dignitaries and world leaders.
On numerous occasions the Rebbe spoke publicly about his deep sentiment for those gifts that were brought and presented in honor of his Yom Huledes. Most notably was the extreme gratitude the Rebbe expressed for the gifts of greater commitment to Torah study and added adherence to the performance of Mitzvos.
The highly anticipated “Niggun” was always a highlight of the annual Yud Aleph Nissan farbrengens. The Niggunim were composed by Chassidim and embraced and encouraged by the Rebbe. The Pesukim of the new Kapital were often the subject of the Sichos and Maamorim at this time of year.
The importance of this day is something that every Chossid feels. To accommodate those who would like to prepare for this awesome occasion, and in the spirit of Hakhel, Vaad Or v’Chom Hahiskashrus is hosting a global farbrengen in honor of Yud Aleph Nissan. The farbrengen is scheduled for Sunday night 9:30PM EDT and will be broadcasted for the world wide family of Chassidim to participate.
