Presenting a brand new video, paying tribute to the history of Jewish Music. Some we grew up with, some our parents told us about, and some that we get our children into. A generational link between eras! As Jewish music continues to evolve, this video is meant to take observation of those changes, with a little humor and respect, and a lot of love.
The project came together in the days following the Ivri Anochi music video, by Benny Friedman, Meir Kay and Sruly Meyer. Joining together to create a tribute to all that came before what they had just completed. Inspired by this passion project, working simply for the videos greater end. Joined by Mendy Lenowvich of On Time Studios, who brought his amazing and creative talents along with his his fully equipped studio to piece together visual after visual. Avremi Berko tastefully arranged the medley featuring the songs that would make up this medley of Jewish music history, supplied with brass by Danny Flam’s New York Brass. The video was additional sponsored by Bison & Bourbon who kept the crew fed during production and lifted our spirits!

Done in great taste and Mr. Friedman displays his range and humor to boot. How does one sponsor the next one?

In the regesh modeh ani song, did anyone else notice him washing for bread instead of negel vaser?

This was great. Brought me back to my high school years. Really enjoyable to watch. Well done!
I’m still smiling from that one😃
It’s really sad to see on a Chabad website so much judging of another Jewish Neshoma. I’d expect that from other communities. Not ours. #causeeveryjewisreallyourbrother
but wheres country yossi!?
i really agree, when it was up to that part i cringed. I think they should of just done it without having to add matisyahu.
How about…..Dveykus , Rabbi’s Sons,
Kol Salonika , London boys choir ,New York Pirchei,
JEP………..
“Download my soul”

The video does not seem to depict the total disappearance of any and all musical instruments after about the year 2000.
Loved it. Can we have more ?
hilarious! one correction though the negel vaser in the morning was poured like washing before bread ; )
Hatzlacha.
Entertaining
& fantastic entertainment & talented!! Loved almost every minute of it… was sad to see matisyahu there:( could have done without him…
Otherwise left me in great spirits wanting MORE!:)
Was around for a lot of the past music
Would like Joe Amar too!
Thank you
You guys are all wonderful…
In these challenging and sometimes dark times, your natural humour is the best remedy….
That’s why Meir Kay’s and the Marcus brothers’ (8th Day) style are such a hit –
And this should finally get Moshiach on the expressway….
Keep it up!
Laughing Grandma
Spelt? Like the grain?
Well done!
Family loved it and gave us a great laugh. Benny and Meir K rock the house. Keep up the great work all.
great job!!!
they did it perfectly!
IMHO, why the need to showcase of all people Matisyahu in such a video. He was in the Jewish music world for such a short time and has gone his own way; why encourage anyone to connect to him at all?
Thanks for the laugh! We really enjoyed it.
Just a shame it includes a cover of non-Jewish music…
That was rtoo funny, coulda gone on and on. Tremendous!!!! (Shwekey is funny one, still laughing)
Kosher summer entertainment. Bet you could do another one and fill in what was left out. Benny and Meir you people are funny!
