Vaad Hatmimim, the organization dedicated to serving bochurim of Chabad Yeshivos around the world, closed on a house near the Rebbe’s Ohel in the Cambria Heights section of Queens, New York.
Many bochurim spend weekdays, Shabbosim and yomim tovim at the Ohel at the Old Montefiore Cemetery and the adjacent Ohel Chabad Lubavitch Center where they learn and daven.
Vaad Hatmimim said the purchase of the house was in line with “recognizing the growing need for a place for bochurim to stay by the Ohel” and that the house will be “used exclusively for the bochurim who come to the Ohel for Shabbos and Yom Tov.”
The house is located at the corner of 230th Street and 120th Avenue.
It was donated by Reb Eliyahu and Yonah Shlosberg in memory of his father, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Shlosberg OBM.
Thank thanked Rabbi Asher Zeilingold for his help in making this purchase possible, as well as Rabbis Yossi Kaplan, Zushe Gurevitz and Eli Gurevitz for their help.
The Vaad told COLlive.com they expect the house to already be ready for use by the next Shabbos, Gimmel Tammuz 5782.

It should be used for good purposes!
The bochurim should enjoy!
Moshiach should be here before you move in!
And no one will need to be there
