Israel is facing an unprecedented crisis that has left us deeply wounded. The severity of this catastrophe is unlike anything we have witnessed in our region. We find ourselves in a surreal and dire situation, enduring a ruthless assault that is making history as one of the most devastating attacks in the State of Israel. The circumstances are far from clear, and the toll on our people is heart-wrenching.
Over 1,200 innocent citizens and soldiers, solely because they were Jewish, have tragically lost their lives. More than 2,800 people are wounded, with many in critical condition and others facing dire hardships. Heartbreakingly, over 160 individuals, including adults, women, children, and infants, are incarcerated, and this number continues to rise.
In the midst of this terrible agony, with exchanges of fire and missile attacks, and while security forces and all involved parties are striving to regain control and understand the situation, a sense of profound chaos persists. Thousands of citizens are still unaware of the fate of their loved ones, and many who fled their homes with only the clothes on their backs are uncertain about what the near future holds. Israel is now facing a long-term war, and the duration remains uncertain.
The State of Israel found itself unprepared during this unexpected and terrible assault, necessitating the enlistment of over 400,000 reserve soldiers in a swift and overwhelming response. However, the shortage of supplies and food for both soldiers and families along the frontlines has yet to be addressed adequately, and the support of citizens like you is crucial.
We urgently need substantial quantities of military and humanitarian supplies, baby food, toys for children, food packages, medicines, and clothing for thousands of soldiers stationed in the conflict zone. Additionally, thousands of families are huddled in bomb shelters and unable to leave their homes. They turn to us for assistance, and we must provide support. Furthermore, we must secure lodging for hundreds of families from the fire-stricken areas who lack a safe haven.
The situation is extremely dire, with many trauma victims in need of medical and psychological care. Children who have lost their parents or have been taken captive are now dependent on our support.
In addition, we receive continuous requests from soldiers asking for us to send them tzitzit and Mehudar tefillin sets for spiritual protection, as they are deeply in need of these items. We have acquired thousands of tzitzit that have been distributed, but the need is still substantial, requiring many more tzitzit and tefillin sets.
It’s essential to note that all the suppliers we purchase from have volunteered to provide everything at cost, without profit, and all transportation and distribution are carried out by selfless volunteers who seek no compensation for their services, all for the sake of Israel’s success. Our unity is our strength, and together, we will overcome all adversaries.
