The Epstein family who are the shluchim to Columbia South Carolina. Both in the City and on Campus are truly some of the most wonderful people and shluchim I have ever come across. Rabbi Sruly you are an inspiration. Keep that light coming and give Samantha’s neshama an aliyah!

What a horrible tragedy. 🙁

I have had a person try to get into my minivan while I was stopped at a stoplight thinking I was her Uber ride at 11pm at night. This woman that was murdered is a distant relative of my wife. So so sad. Please teach your loved ones about safety when using Uber. Don’t let them make the same mistake.

The article didn’t clarify (maybe we don’t know yet?) but was the person who picked her up targeting her or was this random and she had the horrible misfortune of just getting into some wacko’s car. Do we know if this person was out that night intending on abducting and killing someone? Was the driver purposely posing as an Uber driver? Is there any hint that the driver had intended something other than murder but the sequence of events lead to that horrible result? Is anyone able to share more information so we understand the nature of the crime committed?… Read more »
