many times places have the parochet inside bec. they are afraid it might get dirty… or kids playing and tugging on it. and many beautiful parochet CAN NOT BE DRY CLEANED OR WASHED!!!
BUT those same places have their Torah’s in safe inside behind the parochet – so in reality the parochet is in front of the door. 🙂
it’s beautiful!!!
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH #15!!!
STOP LOOKING FOR THE NEGATIVE IN EVERYTHING!!!
YECHI HAMELECH
Have asked many Lubs. and we don’t feel that we want to daven to 770. In it OK, but not to it. We have the one above to daven to and the Rebbe to intercede for us. We are not supposed to “worship” the Rebbe.
i saw #8 he isnt saying a kal vochomer he just giving points that some arent right. 770 today is our beis hamikdosh so forsure it can go on top of the oron and also#2 is arguing about the 770 its our nosis presence
If I walked into a shul with this aron I don’t think I’d feel comfortable davening toward it.
The problem here is that the Aron and all the other decorations are so pretty-people will spend more time looking at each detail instead of just looking in the Siddur and davening . When talking is permitted-instead of talking about the Parsha and Torah items-the discussion would be about the Aron HaKodesh, how much did it cost, who paid for it ???Let’s be realistic-it’s way overdone, and without any doubt the Rebbe would not have allowed this.
We are people who follow Halachah. Period. I would like to know which Moreh Hora’ah B’Poel hara’uy lishmo permitted placing 770 on top of the Aron Kodesh?
It’s not about “looking for the negative” (like some would like to suggest), it’s about doing the right thing.
Seems kind of like davening towards New York instead of towards Yerushalayim. It just doesn’t seem right to me.
i recall hearing a story that they made a Mivtzoim brochure with a pi of a Mikvah for taharas hamishpocha and the Rebbe criticized it.
BEAUTIFUL ARON!!
STOP LOOKING FOR THE NEGATIVE IN EVERYTHING…
Not appropriate

with #11.
looks great!
THis is the most beautiful Aron I have ever seen!!
Moshiach Now!!!
Your Kal VoChoimer from Hoishanos is incorrect. Storing hoishanos on top of the Aron Kodesh is a centuries-old minhag yisroel. Putting a picture of 700 on top of the Aron Kodesh is not. Hence your Kal VoChoimer doesn’t begin to work. In any event, I’m not sure why you are bringing a Kal VoChoimer into this at all. #2 was not saying that this is necessarily a halachic issue; rather he was saying it is a question of appropriateness. The truth is that you are not supposed to daven facing any picture or painting, and while some shuls do have… Read more »
If you learned nun alef and nun beis sichos!
even if its above its alright if a 770 tefillin bag can face a sefer torah sure could a 770 model im sure they asked b4 they did it even if its above its alright if there is no shailoh of putting hoishanos forssure there wouldnt be with a 770 model
to #2 -That’s true.
also, shouldn’t the beis hamikdash be on top of 770 – not vice versa? (besides i am not comfortable having those 2 pictures there at all.)
However, i REALLY like the 10 mivzoim on the sides. Beautiful.
The architecture of the aron kodesh is in general beautiful.
looks great
Beatutiful handiwork. The carvings of the mivtzoim on the side especially. But I agree with 2, putting a picture 770 on it is uncalled for. It just feeds in to the bubbe maises of the sonim. I don’t think the Rebbe would have been for that.
I think its just Stunning, and Its a wonderful way to honor Hashem by beautfing a shul
I’m not sure placing a picture of 770 above Sifrei Torah is so appropriate
I believe the Rebbe was very adamant that the poroches be on the outside – the way it has always been in the frum world..
