Sunday evening, following the fast of 17 Tammuz, Rabbonim, Mashpim and Shluchim gathered for a festive event in Kfar Chabad, Israel, to mark the 50th birthday of Rabbi Moshe Weber, Shliach in Dnepr, Ukraine and founder of the ‘Kolel Torah’ organization.
The theme of the event was the saying from Pirkei Avos, ‘at 50 one can give advice,” and was a tribute to the friendship and advice Rabbi Weber is known for among his friends.
Rabbi Weber was to have marked the celebration in his hometown where he serves on Shlichus in Dnepr, but due to the current war, he is residing in Israel.
Many of his friends and relatives joined him in Israel for the festive occasion, while his friends from Dnepr, including the Head Shliach and Chief Rabbi Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky, celebrated from afar by sending video greetings.
