More than 100 Shluchim and their families from across the United Kingdom gathered this month for the annual Kinus Hashluchim UK, held at the historic Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa in Warwickshire.
Organized under the theme “Do All You Can to Fulfil Your Mission – Stronger Together,” the event marked the largest UK Kinus to date and highlighted the dramatic growth of Chabad’s reach in the region.
In the past four years alone, the UK has seen the opening of 12 new Chabad Houses and 18 new Shluchim couples, bringing the total to 74 centers nationwide.
The Kinus featured an extensive and carefully curated program of workshops that addressed both the practical and emotional aspects of Shlichus. Sessions were tailored for various demographics, with dedicated tracks for mechanchim, campus Shluchim, and family-focused outreach.
Highlights included:
NSPCC Safeguarding Training Course – Led by Tim Rogers (NSPCC), offering vital guidance on child protection in communal and educational settings.
Vision Circle: Gaining Clarity in Your Shlichus – Presented by Rabbi Bentzi Sudak of Chabad Hampstead Garden Suburb, helping Shluchim align their mission with practical goals and impact.
Navigating Burnout & Balancing Work–Life Demands – A practical and candid session by Yaakov Cadaranel, focusing on mental health and sustainability on Shlichus.
Practical Halocha – Focussing on commonly encountered questions on Shlichus delivered by Dayan Levi Yitzchok Raskin.
Grand Siyum – Rabbi Yisroel Weisz, Shliach to Hampstead, London made a siyum on the entire shas (Talmud Bavli), inspiring others to take on learning goals for their own growth.
L’chaim – DS Tayman, the award-winning scotch whisky brand, donated two bottles for each participating Shliach to bring back to their Chabad Houses and extend the Kinus spirit to their community.
Chinuch Track for Educators – With sessions on curriculum development, student engagement, and leadership in Jewish schools.
Campus Outreach Panel – Shluchim shared strategies for connecting with Jewish students, hosting engaging events, and offering meaningful Jewish experiences.
Engaging the Wider Community – Tools for Shluchim working in isolated towns or smaller communities to broaden their reach.
Workshops were described by participants as “relevant, professional, and refreshing,” with many sessions continuing informally in the corridors and over meals.
In true Chassidic fashion, spirited farbrengens were held throughout the Kinus. A memorable post-banquet farbrengen lasted into the early hours of the morning, with Shluchim awake and ready just a four hourls later for a Chassidus shiur delivered by Rabbi Yoinoson Golomb of Sheffield.
Keynote speaker Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302, addressed the Shluchim with a stirring message of unity and global responsibility. His words, reflecting the Rebbe’s call to action, resonated deeply with the crowd.
The hospitality and attention to detail at this year’s Kinus were unmatched. The gourmet meals, beautifully catered by Mrs. Dinie Pink, earned universal praise. From exquisite presentation to quality ingredients, every meal was both nourishing and elegant.
In a touching gesture of appreciation, each Shliach received a gift box of Symphony Chocolates to bring home to their wives, along with small toys for their children—reinforcing the message that the entire family is part of the Shlichus mission.
The Kinus concluded with a group photo on the steps of Bosworth Hall—capturing not just a moment in time, but a growing movement of unity, strength, and determination.
As Rabbi Yehuda Pink, Kinus Co-Ordinator, summed up: “This Kinus was not just about workshops or speakers. It was about connection. Shluchim left here uplifted, recharged, and reminded that no matter where we are, we are never alone.”

Kol hakovod to Rabbi Yisroel Weiss for making a siyum hashas.
Amazing compliment.

Brilliant shliach with his wife, Brocha. Students and community are lucky to have them.
