A newly released curriculum is gathering much attention from Chabad Shluchim who operate Hebrew and Sunday schools across the U.S. and Canada.
The curriculum “Tishrei Hebrew School Teacher’s Guide” contains four lesson plans for each of the eight year levels (K-7th grade), covering Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkos.
In addition, the Guide features a Family Fun Day plan, which like the lesson plans, includes specific points to teach and directions for all activities.
Shluchim have been enthralled by the curriculum’s comprehensiveness, organization and clarity. Indeed, Chabad Hebrew School Director of Venice pointed out that the curriculum “is phenomenal” to the extent that this “is the first year that I am looking forward to the beginning of the year!”
Similarly, a representative from Chabad Hebrew School of North Merrick, New York stated that it is “unbelievable! So organized… absolutely amazing… everything looks incredible… looks like tons of thought and creativity went into planning this.”
The curriculum booklet comes with a supplement CD containing all the material needed for each lesson and family day, including worksheets, slideshows, posters, flashcards and games.
“Please do a similar curriculum for Chanukah,” asked the Chabad Hebrew School Director of Sarasota, Florida. “This has been a dream come true for me. The time and effort that went into putting this curriculum together is truly evident.”
