Never fly on Fri or EY”T (Erev Yom Tov) it’s too risky
Another good reason to pay the $85-$100 fee to sign up for TSA Precheck for 5 years. It’s saved our family time, aggravation, and missed flights, B”H!
We flew on Thursday and Friday. The difference on Friday was extremely noticeable – we probably spent half an hour after going through the metal detector, going through every single item in our food bag, each item was rubbed down with a swab and tested in a machine. I had my tefillin checked for the first time in 10 years – they opened and unwrapped each pair.
We nearly missed our flight because of that. Be prepared.
