President Donald Trump visited the Walter Reed Military Hospital Saturday where he was spotted wearing a face mask in public for the first time amid surging cases of coronavirus in the U.S.
Trump flew by helicopter to the military hospital to meet with wounded soldiers and medical staff, telling reporters at the White House prior to his departure that he would “probably wear a mask.”
Trump was wearing a mask in Walter Reed’s hallway as he began his visit. He was not wearing one when he stepped off the helicopter at the facility.
“When you’re in a hospital, especially… I think it’s expected to wear a mask,” the president said after months of refusing to wear one in public.
As the coronavirus pandemic has surged in the U.S. — with over 3.2 million confirmed cases and more than 134,000 deaths — several GOP members have come out urging people to wear masks, adding that it should be an issue of health, not politics.
I’m greatful at least that col has no (bad) news to post that they need to post something so rediculous
So now mask wearing is kosher. Great!
We care because…
#1: This is not the first time he wore a mask in public, he wore a mask at the Ford factory plant (in certain areas)
#2: This is very different than any other time he was in public, this time it was at a hospital so it makes sense to wear a mask… Other places there is no need….
#TRUMP2020
True dat
All the other places he went to all the people in the room were tested negative
Too little too late Trump
thank you President Trump
