Donald Trump appeared to be the target of an assassination attempt as he spoke during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, law enforcement officials said. The former president, his ear covered in blood from what he said was a gunshot, was quickly pulled away by Secret Service agents and his campaign said he was “fine.”
A local prosecutor said the suspected gunman and at least one attendee are dead. The Secret Service said two spectators were critically injured.
Posting on his Truth Social media site about two and a half hours after the shooting, Trump said a bullet “pierced the upper part of my right ear.”
“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin,” he said in the post. “Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.”
The attack, by a shooter who law enforcement officials say was then killed by the Secret Service, was the first attempt to assassinate a president or presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981. It comes amid a deeply polarized political atmosphere, just four months from the presidential elections and days before Trump is to be officially named the Republican nominee at his party’s convention.

The more I think about this, the more I am thankful to Hashem.
There is no doubt that had he been killed, it would’ve sparked off major violence. Many supporters will see the leader dead and take it upon themselves to take back control of the country. Since Trump survived this, the leader is still leading, and there is no need for any uprising.
And when there is major violence, so often it’s the Jews who suffer the most. I think that most people don’t realize how thankful we have to be.
He is on the side of good and has been risking his life and freedom for it.

to realize there was an intruder on the roof? Many people
told the police about a suspicious person on the roof

Criminals can always get weapons. The weapon was owned by the shooter’s father
I guess there’s always car rammings, stabbings, and home made bombs and illegal guns over the border.
Point is the criminals will always have the guns as seen in Europe and the cities with the strictest gun policy.
It’s just kind of nice for the good people to have the means of defending themselves their families and properties when attacked….
The schools needs armed and trained teachers and other trusted staff at all times. Watch the school shootings disappear.
Also lock up the violent criminals and keep them there instead of popping them right back on the streets to reoffend.

What would have prevented the shooting would have been better armed security on that rooftop like there was supposed to be.
Or better response time from law enforcement when a few dozen people spotted the shooter getting into position a few minutes before the shooting and alerting the police
