The State Department is reviewing a last-minute decision by former Secretary of State John Kerry to send $221 million dollars to the Palestinians late last week over the objections of congressional Republicans.
The department said Tuesday it would look at the payment, one of the Obama administration’s final acts in office, and might make adjustments to ensure it comports with the Trump administration’s priorities.
Kerry formally notified Congress that State would release the money Friday morning, just hours before President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
“I was tracking President Obama’s 11th-hour moves on the Palestinians, and this issue never came up once … Most analysts and observers didn’t think Obama would or could do this,” Dr. Jonathan Schanzer of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies told Business Insider.

The State Department (not Trump) froze the transfer before it went through, opting to wait for the new administration’s decision on whether it would be approved. That decision has not – of yet – come down. So everyone on both sides of this sensationalized story needs to RELAX.
In other words, President Trump just stopped Hamas from sending missiles to Israel. Now he has to tell Iran that our ally Israel is America’s true friend unlike other so called allies

With the inflation that is going to, C”V, occur under Trump, the money won’t be worth much. At least Obama did not force Israel to give away any land- can’t say that for the Republicans who forced Israel into giving away Gush Katif under the Bush administration,.
To #3 : According to reports out of Israel, the US State Department notified the palies on Tuesday that the funds were not going to be “handed over” until Pres Trump had an opportunity to review what they are (allegedly) being used for. If he disapproves of their intended use, he can get the gelt back. Pretty sure that he is going to disapprove . So it seems that COL is correct and they are being frozen, hopefully forever.

It is millions of dollars and I am sure it doesn’t take a single day only to transfer…
Even regular bank transfers can take time… There are surely some steps involved in such a transfer that allow for freezing it.
