More than two decades since its launch, Camp Emunah’s Traveling Shluchos Program is as popular as ever, offering a summer experience uniquely uplifting, educational and full of exhilarating recreations. The program, founded by Rabbi Shaya Gansbourg, was launched after Gimmel Tammuz to give 10th graders the opportunity to experience the Rebbe’s shlichus by touring Chabad Houses all over the West Coast.
Campers have the opportunity to meet and interact with Shluchim in communities on the West Coast. Hearing from the Shluchim and their mekuravim, and spending inspiring Shabbosos in Chabad Houses gives campers a taste of shlichus and an understanding of how Shluchim connect to the Rebbe through their work. The program plants the seeds in its participants to increases their pride to be a Bas Chabad.
In its tour of California, Oregon, Washington and Canada, the Traveling Shluchos Program brings opportunities for whitewater rafting, sand duning, sailing, rock climbing, and numerous attractions and theme parks.
The Tenth Grade Traveling Shluchos Program is directed and led by Rebbetzin Hecht. It is coordinated and supervised by Mrs. Goldie Gansbourg, and a superb staff of experienced, dedicated counselors. This special program is dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Gansbourg, zal.
