A Lubavitch Bochur has tragically drowned on a beach in Mexico.
21-year-old Yosef Levi drowned while swimming on the beach on the island of Cozumel, a mostly undeveloped Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea. The island is famed for its scuba diving.
The victim is a resident of Be’er Sheva, Israel.
ZAKA is working with local authorities in Mexico and Israel, attempting to have the body flown to Eretz Yisroel for timely burial.
Baruch Dayan Ha’emes.
The 4th drowning I’m the past few weeks, the 3rd in 2 days!!!
We need Moshiach!
Seems to have been many injuries and deaths in the past few days from recreational activities. What’s going on out there?
People are not paying attention to common sense safety…. the need for life vests, not swimming in the dark or at beaches without lifeguards on duty etc.. there seems to be a mindset that “it can’t or won’t happen to me “. Unfortunately it can.
I was there a month ago and met him at the chabad house. He was a great bochur. I remember his hachloto that he did when he got an alyia to the Torah…
truly heartbreaking. Moshiach now!!!
So sorry to hear
Too many frum people seem to:
. Not have a healthy sense of respect for the water.
. Don’t know how to swim.
. Don’t know water safety – i.e. not to swim without a lifeguard, not to boat when the water is choppy, to wear a life jacket, etc…
. Don’t seem to understand that there are times when someone shouldn’t enter the water, i.e. when the waters are rough.
.
טרגדיה אמיתית!!! רק משיח יסבר
