Just days before hurricane Irene descended upon New York the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education hosted a charity cocktail evening to benefit Toys for Hospitalized Children.
The event, sponsored by Michelle Domb, took place at Trump Place on Riverside Blvd in Manhattan and featured an elegant buffet and open bar on the sky lounge and terrace.
The charity evening drew many guests from the New York real estate industry such as Blu Realty Group founders and some of their clients, members of the Empire Hotel Group including chief Sam Domb, as well as music producer Kedar Massenburg and his R&B protégé “Joe.”
Referring to the increasingly younger demographic that NCFJE events are targeting, President, Neil Kupferman, Esq. said, “There’s no question that an organization needs ‘new blood’ in order to thrive. You can’t underestimate the value of the enthusiasm and energy of a young crowd like this.”
Toys for Hospitalized Children was founded by long-time NCFJE Executive Vice President Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht. In recent years, the campaign to put new toys and gifts in the hands of hospitalized children has grown to serve dozens of the most prominent Children’s Hospitals across the United States.
Actually the Toy Drive is Baila Hecht’s division. She works tirelessly to make sure all hospitals, senior citizen’s homes, and anyone in need gets beautiful packages of toys, purfumes, hats and scarves, etc.
Well done Baila. Keep up your good work.

Rochi shemtov kol hakovod for everything you do, for toys for hospitalized children and all the other peulos you’re involved with.
Thanks for being my extended family and always being there for us…
Keep up the Rebbe’s holy work. If I remember correctly, when the Rebbe was in the hospital almost 18 years ago they bought toys for all the children who were in the same hospital too.
BS:D #1 the honorable Sam Domb
Way to go Rabbi Hecht. This is a huge success. Right in the heart of Manhattan with the big wheels.
