One thousand people come out to celebrate together Lag BaOmer at a unity event in the south part of Toronto.
Thursday afternoon thousands came to Earl Bales Park in the Centre of Toronto where they watched a wonderful show, smiling children had lots of fun, adults put on Tefillin, and everyone enjoyed a great barbecue.
Children representing each of the organizing Chabad Centers came up to recite the 12 Pesukim, followed by a marching parade.
Inflatables, rides, carnival, BBQ and food court, concession machines, bonfire and more were enjoyed by all, the Lag Baomer spirit was felt in the air!
Many people had a great time at booths Shluchim created for their communities.
This was the second event held in Toronto, the other on the Northside, with two thousand five hundred participants, reported separately.
The event was coordinated by: The Jewish Russian Community center of Ontario – Dovid Faynberg and Rabbi Mendel Zaltzman with the help of other JRCC Shluchim Rabbi Yisroel Zaltzman, Rabbi Shmuli Neft, Rabbi Levi Blau and Rabbi Levi Jacobson.
Thank you to all the Shluchim that Partnered with this: Rabbi Moshe Steiner: Chabad of Uptown, Rabbi Nchemia Deitch Chabad Midtown, Rabbi Shmuli Nachlas: JYN.
And the 50 Volunteers who registered and worked and made this event the great unity and success it was.
May we merit that through this event of Achdus and Jewish pride we go straight to the Geula with the coming of Moshiach right now!
Kol Hakavod!
