Last Thursday evening Friendship Circle of Toronto hosted their annual volunteer recognition event.
In attendance were the children with special needs, their families, the volunteers and their parents.
The program began with a BBQ and fun for the children. They enjoyed jumping castles and a magic show.
The formal program, chaired by a volunteer’s mother, followed with an introduction from Rabbi Zalman A. Grossbaum and greetings from the MPP of Thornhill.
The Sunday Circle teen boy’s group entertained the crowd with their choir. Nediva Koschitsky, represnting the volunteers, spoke about the lessons she learned from her special friend. Mr. Korman then addressed the crowd and expressed gratitude to the organization for being his substitute family.
The volunteers were subseqequently treated to their own program. The audience was in stitches as the incredible Boris the Hypnotist had a group of 10 volunteers doing as he commanded.
