The TorahVR team visited Toronto to bring their interactive Beis HaMikdash experience to over 1,000 students during Chanuka. The team was excited to bring the program to the city and give students the opportunity to learn about the holiday in a dynamic and immersive way.
For those who may not be familiar, the MikDash experience is an interactive virtual reality program that transports users back in time to the days of the Beis Hamikdash. TorahVR users are able to explore the Beis Hamikdash, learn about the various avodas that took place there, and even try their hand at some virtual Beis Hamikdash duties.
What sets the MikDash experience apart is the way it engages users in a hands-on way. Rather than simply reading about Chanukah or listening to a lecture, students are able to participate in the experience and feel like they are truly a part of history.
The TorahVR team has brought the MikDash experience to schools and organizations all over the world, but their visit to Toronto during Chanukah was especially exciting. It allowed them to reach a large number of students in one week and bring the joy of Chanuka to even more people.
The team was thrilled with the response they received from the students in Toronto and can’t wait to bring the MikDash experience to even more people in the future. It’s clear that the program is a hit with students of all ages and helps to bring the rich history and traditions of Judaism to life in a meaningful way.
Rabbi Yonah Vilenkin of the Jewish Interactive Jewish Center arranged the trip.
Next on the American tour, TorahVR will be in Florida next week followed by California to transform classrooms into the Beis Hamikdash and bring even more excitement to school curricula.
