Today, 23 Nisan, marks the 26th Yahrzeit of Reb Eliyahu Green obm.
Just a few weeks ago, the 9th of his 13 children (ka”h) Altie Kasowitz, a shlucha to West Orange, NJ, together with her husband Rabbi Mendy Kasowitz, children, family, friends, and community members, began writing a Sefer Torah in his memory.
In honor of his yahrzeit the family is offering a special opportunity for everyone to buy a letter in the Sefer Torah.
$2 per name for letter(s) in the Community Sefer Torah.
Visit www.chabadwestorange.com/Torah.
For your convenience, you may also send $ through paypal to [email protected].
The goal is for everyone to be able write a letter in the Sefer Torah, especially at this time of Covid 19, when every mitzvah helps and certainly one that unites all yidden.
This will surely bring R’ Eli z”l much nachas and an aliyah to his neshama.
It will also bring great joy to his eishes chayil (ylc”t) Chava and his 13 children, sons and daughter-in-law, countless grandchildren and great grandchildren, (ka”h).
Reb Eli Green was an outgoing and passionate man who lived in the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada. Everyone who knew him can attest to his outgoing, jolly personality. Sadly, he passed away just after Pesach 26 years ago. He is sorely missed.
May Hashem reward us all for this great mitzvah by sending Moshiach; a time when the entire world will be at peace and we will all be reunited once again with our loved ones.
Eli was a tzadik all that knew him will tell you a real bal Simcha
Yep yep one of a kind
We still feel his warmth and love in our hearts. I see the faces of his beautiful children in his smile and shining eyes. May R’ Eli be a malitz yosher for the whole family and be reunited very soon with those who miss him so much.
100% pure through and through, always positive and friendly and warm. He left behind copies of himself in his children, we are blessed to have known him! A friend from Montreal
