The Levy family, together with the Besht Center of Crown Heights, welcomed a new Torah Sunday, in memory of Chayala Levy OBM.
Chayala, a young girl full of life and energy, exemplified giving and caring for others, and was an example of what it means to love and feel for another.
Chayala was a big baalas chesed and took every opportunity to help others in their time of need. She had a golden voice and also used that to bring much happiness to people and harmony in to this world.
She passed away at the early age of 17 on 19 Teves, 17 years ago.
The Torah was written by her family in her memory, and was marked with a celebration with the writing of the final letters and a parade through the streets of Crown Heights.
