Chabad of Centrepointe and the Soloway Jewish Community Centre in Ottawa hosted their annual Lag Baomer Parade and fair.
Despite the heavy rain, hundreds came out to participate in the event, which also included the inauguration of a Torah being dedicated to an army base in Israel.
The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Dovid Lau, participated in the celebrations and accepted the Torah to personally bring back to Israel.
The Torah was donated through the efforts of Mizrachi Canada.

We always celebrate Lag Baomer every year, but this one was historical, we were so honoured to have Rabbi David Lau with us and donate a Torah Scroll to our brothers of the IDF was a real act of unity and kindness.
Thank you to Rabbi Chaim Mendelsoh and Rebbetzin Bassy Mendelsoh for their hard work and the love they put in everything they do. Am Israel chai!
