More than six hundred men, women, and children came to celebrate the inauguration of the Sefer Torah in honor and memory of Shneor Zalman Pevzner, may his memory be blessed, son of יבלחט”א Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak and Rivka Pevzner, in the event halls of the Sinai School.
Among the participants were the Chief Rabbi of Paris – Rav Michel Gugenheim, as well as Rabbi Yaakov Bitton, Rabbi Levi Cohen, Rabbi Yosef Frankforter, Rabbi Mordechai Rotenberg, Rabbi Yaakov Zerbib, Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson, Rabbi Itshak Nemanow, Rabbi Menachem Margolin and Rabbi Shalom Lelouch and the uncles Rabbi Avraham Baruch and Rabbi Mendel Pevzner.
The president of the Central Consitoire, Mr. Korsia, and Mr. Petit Ohayon from the FSJU were also present.
Students from the Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Brunoy also took part in the event, as Zalmi, may his memory be blessed, was an emissary and student of that yeshiva until his last day.
A special atmosphere of joy filled the place, as many of his colleagues testified – it felt like he was there.
A special video prepared for this ceremony shared some aspects of his life with all the participants to encourage them to fulfill what is said: “And the living shall take it to heart.”
There is no doubt that this ceremony motivated many participants to deepen their commitment to fulfilling the mitzvot and to hasten the arrival of Moshiach, which is very close.

This is a beautiful, meaningful celebration in memory of a very special bachur. Moshiach now!
