Brooklyn, NY – According to city records, the top parking ticket-writing officer for New York City handed out an astonishing 19,000 summonses in 2015, averaging a ticket every 9 minutes and 45 seconds.
NYPOST.com (http://nyp.st/1N0tD9c) reports that the ticket-writing champ, 53 year-old Arnous Morin, bested the city’s No. 2 parking enforcer by 4,000 summonses and says he owes his title to his relentless commitment to enforcing the city’s parking ordinances to the letter of the law.
“Never, never. It’s never OK to break the law,” Morin said. “The law is hard, but it’s the law. You can’t break the law for any reason.”
The Haiti-born Morin generated about $1.2M in ticket revenues for the city in 2015, mainly covering the streets of Sunset Park, Park Slope, Bay Ridge and Coney Island.
“I have the whole of Brooklyn South in my head,” Morin said
I wouldn’t park in his area, he will ticket you within minutes, for just being there

You are all ridiculous, this man is doing his job, if you’re upset because you got parking tickets, then set a reminder in your phone for five minutes before your parking expires so that you can either move your car or put more money in the meter. In a simple calculation this guy bring the city around 1 mil, after all expenses. How many like this in NYC? And now multiply it , lets said by $700,000 in an average cop.
Now comes the question where all this money is going
On Sundays it is nearly impossible to drive on Ocean Avenue along Prospect Park, because of DOZENS of cars double parked near the church. Not one of them ever gets a ticket. Let this hero cop issue them summonses to remove this dangerous driving hazard.

A few days ago a friend of mine pulled up in front of 770 to drop someone off. One of The counterterrorism cops came over to him and said his Windows were tinted too dark and he would give him a ticket for every window that was tinted. This poor excuse for a cop is one of the most mean spirited people I’ve ever “heard.” Imagine being proud of making the average Joe miserable. When one thinks of the ticketing system they quickly come to realize that its sole purpose is revenue not the enforcement of peace and safety. Naturally when one realizes that reality they loose respect and faith in the law system and perhaps this is a big mistake from a psychological perspective on the lawmaker’s side.
