Tonight, Wednesday, Beis Shmuel-Chabad will host an unforgettable evening, featuring a presentation by a man who as a young boy escaped the German angel of death time and time again.
Eighty-year old Leibel Zisman, born in 1931 to a prominent family in Kovno, Lithuania, was just a young boy when he lost his parents and two of his siblings to the Nazis. With great courage and unbending faith, he survived the atrocities of the concentration camps alone, reuniting after the war with his older brother, his only surviving sibling.
When he made it to America, and entered the office of the Frierdiker Rebbe, the Rebbe instructed him to close the door shut. What happened next, remains forever etched in Leibel’s memory.
When he gave our Rebbe the first regards from his mother, the Rebbe began to ask him questions about his mother’s looks, and then gave him a promise.
Hear all these incredible stories and much more, a first person account of an incredible life.
The event will take place tonight, Wednesday, June 13 2012 at 7:45 pm at Bais Shmuel Hall – Chovevei Torah, 885 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY.
Men, women and older children are invited to attend.
