The Mitzvah Tank Parade honoring the Rebbe's birthday, Yud Alef Nissan, will depart at 10:30 am today from Kingston Avenue and President Street in Crown Heights, and will pass by Chabad Headquarters 770 Eastern Parkway before heading to locations around New York City.
Then, an army of Bochrim will take over the streets of NYC, doing Mivtzoim citywide. Last year 12,000 Matzoa were distributed, and over 2,500 Yidden put on Teffilin.
The Mitzvah Tank Parade, led by Rabbis Mordy Hirsch and Moishy Schmukler, Directors of the Mitzvah Tank Office, will be a truly special event this year, with the Rebbe’s army of Mitzvah Tanks bringing the message of Pesach and Moshiach to the streets of New York City.
COLlive.com will be exclusively live broadcasting the parade, with special guests Eli Marcus, Mendy Pellin, and Shloime Zionce joining in to document the experience.
The parade will feature 73 Mitzvah Tanks, each one a symbol of the Rebbe’s army, distributing matzah and encouraging people to lay tefillin, bringing the mitzvah of connection with Hashem to everyone they encounter.
As the Mitzvah Tanks travel through the city, they are sure to be greeted with excitement and joy by the people of New York. Hundreds of people will lay tefillin, and many others will participate in Mivtzoim, spreading the message of Torah and Moshiach to their fellow Jews.

The parade is beautiful!! And I’m sure the Rebbe is having beautiful nachas watching from above! But all the streets being closed is VERY frustrating!
